Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers
Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning of conversations in consecutive mode between speakers of English and other languages
Process information quickly and concisely, recognize sensitive cultural differences, and remain professional and courteous
Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices
Interpret across sectors including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business
Requirements
Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective
Ability to quickly establish personal credibility
Ability to follow client's instructions closely
Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client
B2 CEFR English Level; bilingual with other required languages
Able to work from home on a permanent basis
Experience with consecutive interpretation for telephone or video calls (on-demand)
Familiarity with industry terminology and procedures across Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business
