About the role

  • Own and manage the end-to-end benefits administration process, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and vendor communications
  • Partner with brokers and carriers to resolve issues and support benefit strategy implementation
  • Administer and manage all employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, state/local leaves, and company-specific policies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support general HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and maintaining HRIS data integrity
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend and implement updates as needed
  • Manage employment verifications, I-9 compliance, and other HR documentation
  • Act as a day-to-day resource for employees and managers on HR policies and procedures
  • Handle employee inquiries with a service-minded approach and always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Partner with the Director on process improvements that enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or another similar discipline preferred (or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience in lieu of education)
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or operations-focused role
  • Prior experience with HRIS systems; comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, and benefits platforms
  • Distraction-free home workspace with a secure internet connection
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Previous experience in healthcare or social work
  • Experience using Bamboo
