About the role
- Manage demand generation, sales customer training, marketing and business development efforts to grow our Performance Products and Bioscience business in assigned territory.
- Managing the Retails Sales team as their people manager.
- Develop retail sales managers/ specialists through coaching, mentoring and leadership.
- Conduct ongoing employee development discussions.
- Approve travel, manage spending approvals, oversee budgets for direct reports.
- Coordinate execution of marketing plans with Retail Sales Managers and broader team and marketing.
- Provide leadership in areas of focus and differentiation for Mosaic to align our sales growth targets with our core principles.
- Participating in Sales Leadership and Strategic Planning along with other special projects.
- Participation in Mosaic meetings (RSM, Region, National, Forums, Ag College, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required with major in Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, Marketing preferred
- Master's degree preferred Ag Business or Agronomy
- Certified Crop Advisor preferred
- 10+ years of experience in fertilizer/biologics inputs business, if Mosaic experience then 7+ years required
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Project management experience
- Proven change management experience
- Continual learner mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Outlook and Salesforce
- Ability to manage/interact with data in Excel
- Travel: 50-60%
