About the role
- Oversee the category management function for multiple retailers and spearhead omnichannel capability development
- Serve as a trusted partner to internal partners and key retail merchant leaders
- Enable unbiased, shopper-led category growth strategies and recommendations
- Lead multiple category advisory teams and develop advisors
- Champion data-driven, actionable insights to enable frictionless omnichannel shopper experience
- Develop trusted relationships with cross-functional leaders and provide clear business routines and expectations
- Build a culture of engagement and accountability while monitoring industry developments and retail mega trends
- Advocate for resources and technology to provide leading category capabilities and partner with data, shopper insights and eCom teams
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in category management, data analytics or a sales role
- Strong thought leadership and ability to think strategically
- Experienced leading direct and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving & analytical ability
- Comfort with ambiguity and translating data to insights
- Technical skills: PowerBI, AI tools, Circana expertise
- High degree of self-motivation and discipline
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with enterprise mindset and develop relationships with key stakeholders
