About the role
- Receive on-the-job training and exposure to the investment management business, clients, products and strategy
- Complete challenging assignments across a wide range of investment products and groups
- Gain visibility with senior management through project work and presentations
- Receive one-on-one learning with investment professionals acting as coaches and mentors
- Participate in Community Service outreach opportunities
- Potential areas of summer internship focus include Alternative Investments, Fixed Income, Portfolio Management, Public Securities and Trading, Real Estate
- Work on-site in Bloomfield, Connecticut (Hybrid: In office Monday – Wednesday, remote Thursday – Friday) during summer internship period
Requirements
- Progressing towards a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative discipline
- Excellent academic credentials (3.3+ CUM GPA)
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- A strong desire to pursue a challenging career in investments or finance
- Work Authorization: eligible for employment in the United States and would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut; Hybrid: In office Monday – Wednesday and work from home Thursday and Friday
- Schedule: 40 hours a week (8AM – 5 PM), Monday - Friday during the summer months (late-May until early-August)
- Internet: must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
