About the role
- Lead strategic direction of a book of clients and provide leadership to dedicated client account team
- Direct client-facing responsibilities to support retention and strategic organizational goals
- Ensure service excellence across Express Scripts departments and serve as an escalation point
- Proactively monitor and identify pharmacy trends and recommend appropriate solutions to clients
- Ensure team delivers and communicates effectiveness of Express Scripts and Cigna core services; monitor trends and coordinate timely issue resolution
- Drive service excellence and contribute to strategic planning for client renewal and retention strategies
- Coach, mentor and support development of account management team members
- Identify and champion process improvement initiatives and cross-functional initiatives; translate strategies into actionable objectives
- Work with underwriting to secure client renewals and improve business financial position
- Actively engage and support new sales opportunities and stay abreast of marketplace trends and competitive landscape
Requirements
- College degree in business or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 yrs relevant experience, including 5-7 years management or leadership experience
- Experience leading teams and cross-functional work groups in person and remotely
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Financial Acumen – Knowledge of PBM financials, margin drivers and pricing
- Knowledge of the PBM industry
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Negotiating and strong leadership skills
- Developed organizational, analytical, interpretative and time management skills
- Travel required to support divisional strategic planning initiatives and client related meetings as needed
