About the role
- Provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Integrated Solution matters
- Manage, direct, and plan multiple complex projects or one highly complex project
- Coordinate, schedule, and assign project tasks and build teams
- Maintain working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT
- Apply project development methodologies and reporting techniques to indicate project status
- Manage and direct project teams of managers, specialists, analysts, and programmers
- Review, evaluate, and formulate project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Allocate staff and budget resources and identify/ negotiate schedules, milestones and resources
- Organize and guide project operations using industry methodologies
- Evaluate and report progress using quality and performance metrics; modify schedules as required
- Work with client departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training, and support
- Provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines; be the go-to person for complex IT PM assignments
- Work with ISMs and system teams to plan technical Integrated, End-to-End and Regression Testing
- Participate in agile development; collaborate with developers and product managers to plan for testing
- Leverage test management tools including Jira and Zephyr; oversee ISM work during test plan development and execution
- Measure and monitor testing progress and results; ensure testing is on time, within budget, and meets expectations
- Ensure compliance with testing standards, guidelines, and methodology; develop and maintain automated test scripts
- Facilitate continuous improvement and test automation; serve as first escalation point during integrated testing
- Ensure appropriate resources with the right skillset are assigned; review program/project test strategies
- Serve as subject matter expert in test management and communicate compliance with Cigna policies
Requirements
- 8-11 years of professional IT work experience and managing projects/initiatives
- Experience providing mentoring/coaching to several individuals
- Experience with managing vendor relationships
- Experience with Agile delivery methodology
- Strong technical test experience
- Ability to write a Program/Project Test Strategy and Program/Project Level Test Plan
- Deep understanding of technical requirements, portfolio, and program epics
- Ability to develop and manage technical testing efforts including plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and personnel
- Good understanding of best testing practices and ability to provide feedback at technical reviews
- Ability to document and communicate testing progress and take corrective action
- Ability to provide technical leadership to meet testing deadlines and objectives
- Ability to review deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with project standards
- Expert level of Healthcare products knowledge (Commercial, Medicare/Medicaid)
- Team leadership & development including mentoring and coaching
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, problem-solving and critical thinking
- Precise verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills
- Familiarity with test management and execution tools including Jira and Zephyr
- Experience developing reusable automated test scripts and test automation
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and resolve conflict
- Recognized thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines
