About the role
- Participate in on-the-job training and gain exposure to the investment management business, clients, products and strategy
- Complete challenging assignments across a wide range of investment products and groups
- Receive one-on-one learning and mentorship from investment professionals
- Gain visibility with senior management through assigned projects and interactions
- Engage in Community Service outreach opportunities
- Potential areas of focus: Alternative Investments; Fixed Income; Portfolio Management; Public Securities and Trading; Real Estate
Requirements
- Progressing towards a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative discipline
- Excellent academic credentials (3.3+ CUM GPA)
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- A strong desire to pursue a challenging career in investments or finance
- Work Authorization: open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut; available late-May until early-August
- Schedule availability: 40 hours a week (8AM – 5 PM), Monday - Friday during the summer months
- Internet requirement when working from home: cable broadband or fiber optic with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
- Tobacco-free policy may disqualify tobacco/nicotine users in certain states
