About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with corporate goals, focusing on PBS and supporting Evernorth services and Cigna Healthcare
  • Drive top-line growth through new client wins, upselling, cross-selling to existing clients, and consultant/broker relationships
  • Develop and drive the consultant relations strategy to win and retain business
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales organization including regional VPs, account executives, and business development teams
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with key clients, consultants, brokers, and prospects and serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform go-to-market strategies and product positioning
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Clinical teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with service delivery and innovation
  • Establish KPIs and sales targets, monitor performance and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent achievement of goals
  • Create an engaged culture where people are rewarded, share ownership, and collaborate across senior leaders enterprise-wide

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of sales experience within the PBM or healthcare industry
  • Previous sales leadership experience required
  • Experience in managing complex client relationships required
  • Ability to organize highly flexible/leveraged team and develop/implement supporting processes that drive efficiency and standardization while allowing customization
  • History of developing new and innovative sales programs
  • Solid understanding of healthcare market dynamics and industry regulations/initiatives
  • Extensive leadership experience including proven ability to meet client retention goals and grow, develop, and retain critical resources
  • Ability to affect organizational change to support client retention and growth
  • Ability to travel 50%+
