💰 $100,000 - $150,000 per year
About the role
- Reports to the CFO and will play a critical role in the firm’s growth and success.
- Managing fund accounting operations and serving as a point of contact with the fund administrator, including overseeing capital call activity, distributions, and quarterly and annual fund financial statements and reporting
- Supporting investment activity (deal closings and realizations)
- Ensuring compliance with credit facility requirements
- Coordinating investment valuations
- Helping to manage the audit process and providing timely support to independent auditors
- Reviewing quarterly financial statements and capital account statements
- Overseeing annual federal and state tax compliance (in coordination with external preparers)
- Assisting with the preparation of regulatory filings and related compliance reporting
- Supporting the CCO with compliance testing and documentation, including coordination with external compliance consultants
- Leading fund-level budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Reviewing books and records for the management company, General Partner, and other upper-tier firm entities
- Coordinating investor requests during fundraising and throughout the life of the funds
- Participating in special projects alongside the leadership team
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds, or public accounting experience with exposure to alternative investment firms
- Professional maturity, high integrity, and sound judgment
- Personable and committed to fostering a strong team culture
- Highly collaborative, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands; able to wear multiple hats and be both a “thinker” and a “doer”
- Desire to contribute to building a successful firm, demonstrating resourcefulness, initiative, and a can-do attitude
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
