About the role
- Oversee products and/or business channels to minimize fraud losses and determine fraud patterns
- Lead development of Fraud strategies to mitigate fraud loss while balancing customer and operational impacts
- Report on overall Fraud losses and trends and monitor rule strategy performance
- Reconcile numerous metrics and condense/summarize for Executives and Business Partners
- Provide people management leadership: hire, set goals, develop staff, manage performance and compensation
- Review fraud attacks to understand and address coverage gaps and participate in loss forecasting
- Develop insights and rules to deliver fraud loss plan and manage network rules and liability requirements
- Manage strategy design and configuration in fraud prevention platforms and enforce Change Management protocols
- Participate in operational forecasting, capacity planning, and case prioritization strategy
- Design/update monitoring and reporting; refresh reports when data or requirements change
- Support partners and projects: define fraud-resilient products, post-launch IT validation, partner loss updates
- Support FC&FMG intent: outline data needs for rule-writing, evaluate technology investments, manage model prioritization
- Support audit and regulatory requests and represent TD at industry forums
- Manage day-to-day vendor relationships for various Fraud vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Math, Statistics, Business) is required
- Master's Degree in a related discipline is preferred
- 7+ years relevant experience
- Experience with SQL/SAS/Data manipulation tools required
- Python experience preferred
- Databricks experience preferred
- SAS experience preferred
- PowerBi experience preferred
- Previous experience with related fraud is preferred
- Knowledge of systems and processes is preferred
- Solid understanding of TD Products and Channels
- People management experience is an asset
- Experience with fraud prevention platforms (e.g. Falcon, TSYS, FIS, SQN, PRM, Citadel, DPS, VCAS, Avant, Experian, TransUnion)
- Vendor management experience (e.g. Equifax, ACI, FICO, Fiserv, FIS, TMS)
- Ability to reconcile numerous metrics and condense/summarize for Executives and Business Partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Conceptual thinker; ability to wade through data and arrive at conclusions
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
