About the role
- Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform
- Open/close personal deposit accounts and process deposits, withdrawals, checks, debit/credit card requests
- Educate customers on all banking products, services, mobile and on-line (digital) banking and tools
- Build trust with educational content, provide consultative support, and advocate proactive insights and recommendations
- Utilize TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships
- Identify customer financial needs and promote or refer appropriate products and services
- Create and manage self-generated leads and manage partner/retail referral or campaign leads
- Conduct customer outreach (outbound calls, relay SMS), set/host appointments, and manage wait times
- Provide lobby leadership and act as first point of contact for customer inquiries and walk-in traffic
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements (Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) and customer authentication principles
- Maintain cash drawer accuracy, follow open/close procedures, act as Dual Control agent when required
- Complete required job-specific and compliance-related training, maintain records and respond to audits
- Collaborate with team members, act as brand champion, and may train/mentor newer colleagues
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military) preferred
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred
- Ability to work during operating hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Teller experience preferred; required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Notary License preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred (job title: Bilingual Preferred/Spanish)
