About the role

  • Lead corporate and leveraged banking transactions and work closely with Investment Banking teams and clients
  • Lead due diligence and structuring for complex bank financings
  • Interact and negotiate with senior finance professionals at client businesses
  • Oversee research and analysis of clients’ financial performance
  • Build and enhance detailed knowledge of industry trends
  • Construct detailed financial models to establish capital structures and covenants
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with debt/equity capital markets, syndication and risk management teams
  • Prepare and recommend high quality credit submissions
  • Provide risk management expertise, implement risk frameworks and lead related management activities
  • Participate on project working groups and internal/external committees; compile reports on business trends, risks and losses
  • Manage relationships and participate in meetings with senior management and oversee business-level Risk Committees
  • Mentor junior professionals supporting deal execution

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics
  • Series 7, 79 and 63
  • 5-7 Years of related experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in due diligence and structuring around complex bank financings
  • Ability to interact and negotiate with senior finance professionals
  • Experience overseeing research and analysis of clients’ financial performance
  • Strong modeling skills to construct detailed capital structures and financial covenants
  • Knowledge of trends in industry groups, credit and risk management
  • Experience preparing and recommending high quality credit submissions
  • Experience mentoring junior professionals and managing relationships with legal and financial institutions
