About the role
- Provide seasoned specialized knowledge, advice and/or guidance in a specialized finance function
- Act as technical expert/lead and escalation point within area of expertise
- Lead cross-functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements and complexity
- Manage end-to-end finance programs and execute complex policies, processes and initiatives
- Develop and deliver accounting/taxation policies, programs and advice; ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements
- Create business cases and innovative recommendations and implement process/performance improvements
- Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels and lead remediation plans to address performance/risk/governance issues
- Engage and influence internal/external partners to develop/deliver integrated solutions
- Participate in team development, mentorship, knowledge transfer and contribute to a culture of risk management and control
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree and/or 7+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Accounting, financial or relevant professional designation preferred
- Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and regulatory requirements
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects
- Strong analytical thought and technical knowledge
- Experience managing end-to-end finance programs and complex financial management/accounting/taxation/audit/regulatory reporting issues
- Knowledge of enterprise frameworks, financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals
- Ability to conduct internal and external research and present findings
- Ability to manage relationships with business lines, corporate and control functions
