About the role

  • Conducts analysis and executes tasks that contribute to workstreams focusing on a broad range of data initiatives included data requirements, issues management, data quality rules lineage and governance
  • Liaises with multiple data teams and serve as subject matter for planning and analysis of project deliverables and processes
  • Analyze data lineage documentation and create or support the creation of data and system flow documentation and process maps
  • Support resolution of project issues by offering solutions to resolve complex problems, and by interpreting and advising on policies, guidelines or processes
  • Identifies potential re-engineering and standardization opportunities for data maintenance and utilization in alignment with regulatory and management needs
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the day-to-day execution activities and meetings
  • Drive meetings and working sessions to solve issues, challenges and risks by factoring input from business and technology partners and diverse points of view
  • Interpret data and analyzing results to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Prepare and present status updates and solutions to stakeholders, business partners and technology teams in a succinct manner to drive decision and action
  • Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating as required
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in large Financial Services firm with experience across data, risk & control, business or technology
  • Strong business analysis competency with hands on experience in data analysis nd lineage
  • Proven experience in a Data Governance, Data Management or related area
  • Experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs, including identifying and resolving issues; executing against Data Quality strategies and policies
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency
  • Deep subject matter expertise around end-to-end data flows within technology ecosystem
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to synthesize key messages and build relationships with senior risk and technology stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
