About the role

  • Utilize best practice PMO methodology to manage full project lifecycle from gathering requirements to development and deployment
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and communication reports for senior management and risk executives
  • Drive progress issue-by-issue and ensure deadlines are met
  • Develop, scope, and plan prioritized risk-based action plans
  • Proactively track project progress against goals and business objectives
  • Resolve complex interdependent activities and categorize into activities, tasks, and sub-tasks
  • Document and monitor project activities to ensure adherence to schedules and risk of delay
  • Liaise with risk owners, oversight functions, IT, operations, risk, compliance, and legal to align objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams and steer implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of regulatory compliance and risk management objectives
  • Lead the execution of major project and compliance initiatives across the enterprise
  • Drive end results of compliance initiative projects
  • Facilitate remediation-related engagements with risk owners and compliance oversight functions
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technology teams, and regulators
  • Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders and escalate issues as warranted
  • Proactively recognize problems and avoid surprises in project delivery
  • Distinguish between issues, risks, and BAU activities and assign appropriate attention
  • Bring the right people together to problem-solve and close out issues

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; strong preference for fintech/regulatory financial services experience or consulting
  • Experience with regulatory programs or consent order projects (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and large-scale transformation projects
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, Visio, Power BI; experience with GRC tools such as ServiceNow, Archer (preferred)
  • MBA or related Master's degree (a plus); professional certifications (FRM, PMI-RMP, CFA) (a plus)
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment; ability to work independently and lead teams
