About the role
- Join a cross-functional team to improve availability of insights for internal and external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with the Customer Experience and Product teams to deliver recommendations and build tooling
- Build reports and meaningful visualizations for internal and external use (e.g., feature adoption, deliverability metrics)
- Design tools and workflows to help campaigns and organizations run more efficient and effective digital programs through evidence and experimentation
- Perform deep data investigations and use statistical techniques to identify, analyze, and interpret data
- Build classification models and other ML tooling to group content by topic or surface insights
- Answer stakeholder questions, solve puzzles in the data, and produce self-serve analytical reports
- Write production-level SQL and script tools in Python to support users and operations
- Help build and contribute to a positive team culture
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of experience working hands-on with SQL (preferably with dbt) and either Python or R
- Experience writing production-level SQL and scripting tools in Python
- Experience with Jupyter notebooks (Hex, Colab, etc.) and databases (BigQuery, Postgres, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Operate with humility and empathy; understand limitations of data and customer priorities
- Comfortable taking on projects in new areas and learning quickly to execute independently
- Helpful but not required: experience with texting and email tools and their associated data (Switchboard, Scale to Win, ActionKit, Action Network)
- Helpful but not required: experience working for campaigns or demonstrated interest in the progressive ecosystem
