About the role

  • Develop mathematical algorithms and machine learning models to analyze business data
  • Test hypotheses, validate models, and turn raw data into actionable strategies
  • Embed ML models into real-world AI applications to shape strategy and optimize efficiency
  • Work with large datasets and maintain scalable data architectures and warehouses
  • Communicate insights that drive measurable business results
  • Support AlgaeCal’s mission to end the fear of bone loss with clinically-backed natural solutions

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience as a Data Scientist or similar role (24+ months)
  • Proven track record building predictive models and optimizing AI applications
  • Strong coding skills in Python or R
  • Expertise in SQL and relational databases
  • Advanced knowledge of AI models (Kaggle-level) and familiarity with RAG
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms (regression, clustering, neural networks)
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouses (BigQuery or similar)
  • Experience standardizing and improving data models and schemas
  • Strong attention to detail and anomaly detection
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to translate data into business value
  • Industry experience in CPG, e-commerce, or health/supplement is a plus
  • Personal qualities: humble, hungry to learn, people smart
