About the role
- Provides manufacturing and operational support to Sun Chemical inplants in the North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia area(s)
- Performs all inplant duties, including batch production, color matching, inventory management, formula management, site specific reporting, and Sun Chemical reporting
- Learns, and complies with all safety requirements, including the use of PPE, safe material handling, MSDS management, housekeeping, and general safety procedures
- Implements Sun Chemical inplant procedures, and the best practices as directed by Inplant Manager, Regional Inplant Operations Manager, or Senior CTS Technicians
- Performs inplants assessments (audit) at inplants in this region as directed by the Regional Inplant Operations Manager
- Participates in transitional activities related to new business opportunities, or capital projects within the region
- Completes monthly training activities as assigned
- Supports CTS team as directed by CTS technicians and Regional Inplant Operations Manager
- Logs all field activity in the Sun Chemical CRM tool (salesforce.com)
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Inplant work experience required
- Must have good color vision and be able to match colors in various ink systems
- Must have good customer presence and ability to work in various manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with inplant SOPs; and familiar with standard manufacturing safety procedures
- Broad experience with ink systems, and printing technologies preferred
- Process improvement training preferred (six sigma, 5S, Lean, Kepner Tregoe, QA, etc.)
