About the role

  • Devise strategy, develop product requirements and deliver initiatives to help customers understand, reduce and manage payment costs and help Stripe manage its own
  • Engage directly with Stripe’s users and GTM teams to uncover needs about understanding and minimizing card processing costs and translate insights into a product roadmap
  • Set prioritization and execution pace for the product team, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data Science, GTM teams and Operations to drive flawless execution on product initiatives
  • Measure success quantitatively by tracking metrics and qualitatively by collecting feedback from users
  • Partner with Operations and Network Partnership teams to drive continuous improvements in cost management strategies
  • Drive efficiency and accuracy through continuous improvements in accounting, reporting and P&L generation processes by collaborating with Finance and Accounting teams
  • Identify opportunities to platformize capabilities for managing card processing costs and build platform-client relationships across Stripe
  • Serve as the expert and primary point of contact across all of Stripe for everything related to card processing costs

Requirements

  • Brings 5+ years of experience in a product role
  • Brings deep user empathy and a high bar for user experience
  • Has been successful in delivering continuous product improvement as well as 0 -> 1 launches
  • Brings ownership mindset and persistence to work on whatever it takes to ensure that your product is successful
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, product, data science, and cross-functional teams on product initiatives. Experience working with go-to-market teams in a B2B sales environment.
  • Ability to deeply analyze data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions. Proven track record of instrumenting and measuring product initiatives, including those with less obvious metrics.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for simplifying complex concepts
  • Has the ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Preferred: Experience in Payments, working with Card Networks or Banking partners.
  • Preferred: Experience working with ML, data science and data analyst teams. SQL proficiency will help.
  • Preferred: Experience managing and growing platform products
  • Preferred: Experience overseeing operational processes or managing operational teams
