About the role

  • Receives inbound calls and makes outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers to sell Stericycle’s services and/or products
  • Acquires new customers and converts existing customers through prospecting, outbound marketing/lead campaigns and referrals
  • Sells value-added services such as online OSHA portal and training and medical waste collection to high value LQG Affiliated customers
  • Builds a pipeline of potential future business by prospecting via marketing/lead campaigns, territory lists, the Internet and other sources
  • Researches and verifies prospects in the CRM and follows Rules of Engagement for transfers, sharing and documentation
  • Uses consultative selling strategies to attain assigned revenue and quota goals and target upgrade/cross-sell opportunities
  • Meets assigned performance metrics including number of outbound calls, close rates, average order size, sales cycle, pipeline and case management
  • Forecasts month and quarter sales within 5% of actual results and tracks details/results for all leads, opportunities, issues and losses
  • Keeps comprehensive and accurate notes in the CRM and effectively qualifies clients
  • Assists/supports assigned projects and performs other duties as required

Requirements

  • Preferred Education: bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales/Marketing related work experience
  • Experience with customer relations, support and exhibit leadership abilities
  • Ability to learn company billing/customer database software and features of all company products and services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook (required)
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (preferred)
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations or Healthcare industry knowledge (preferred)
  • Inside Sales Representative must live in the Chicago area
  • Required to come into the office 4 times a week (Monday-Thursday) at Downtown Chicago Location; Friday is remote
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:30PM, 8:00AM-5:30PM or 9:00AM-6:30PM CST depending on territory
  • Proven ability to meet assigned revenue and quota goals, perform consultative selling, prospecting, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM record-keeping
  • Ability to research and verify prospects, follow Rules of Engagement, and document cross-territory opportunities
