General

• Plan and manage day-to-day transportation operations onsite for our client’s local offices in either Atlanta GA or Austin TX (depending where the candidate is based) and remote transportation operations support to the other site.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for local site leadership, communicate effectively regarding deliverables and requests, escalate issues or challenges, and maintain records on project/task progress.
• Partner with the Operations Team to provide input, feedback, and monitor data for programs such as Vanpool, Transit, Carpool, and Commute Coaching.
• Support planning and development of site-based multimodal transportation strategies, review with relevant colleagues and leadership, and track progress.
• Gather and analyze site-based transportation data, identify relevant metrics, develop insights and report on trends, provide regular updates to leadership, and make actionable, data-driven recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate onsite transportation events such as bike safety and awareness campaigns, commuter fairs, and one-to-one commuter engagement.
• Maintain awareness of other local outreach events (internal and external) and understand alignment of events with the site strategy.
• Manage relationships and meet regularly with the Parking Operations, Electric Vehicle, Bike Operations, Rideshare and Facilities teams to exchange updates, escalate issues, manage tasks, gather metrics, and coordinate on policies, programs, events and initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external partners, such as transit agencies, local jurisdictions, and transportation management organizations (TMA/TMOs), and stay informed about local regulations, policies and programs.
• Manage the site budget, track contracts/renewal dates, create purchase orders, track vendor invoices, and update/adjust forecasts regularly.
• Manage and respond to employee inquiries and feedback, develop content for site newsletters, create communications plans, and collaborate with team members to increase the effectiveness of engagement against site metrics.
• Manage updates to internal transportation web pages
• Participate, present and create content for employee forums (e.g. new employee orientation)
• Work with other Transportation Coordinators to create consistent transportation behavior change programming.

Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator

• Lead the production, coordination, and quality of all firm proposals
• Oversee end-to-end proposal development, managing timelines, deadlines, and submission requirements across multiple concurrent pursuits
• Coordinate internal teams, writing, editing, and compiling proposal narratives
• Lead compliance reviews and facilitate review processes to improve quality
• Manage final production and submission including formatting, packaging, and delivery

• Determine service options for new BRT routes across New Jersey

• Manage day-to-day administration of the CRM platform
• Maintain user access, permissions, fields, layouts, and workflows
• Support users with CRM queries, troubleshooting, and training
• Coordinate data imports, exports, and cleansing activities

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership teams

• Maintain and improve pipeline tracking systems within CRM to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Lead pipeline reviews with leadership, including facilitating discussions on priorities, risks, and opportunities
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pipeline value, conversion rates, and win/loss trends

• Provide strategic leadership for the consultancy’s transport evaluation portfolio, positioning Steer as a recognised leader in Monitoring and Evaluation for transport and mobility.
• Build on the Steer’s growing credentials in the sector, identifying opportunities to expand influence and impact with key clients.
• Leverage expertise across the wider organisation to deliver integrated, cross-cutting evaluation offers.
• Act as senior representative of the firm in the transport evaluation field, engaging with policy-makers, academics, and professional networks.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex evaluations in the transport sector, ensuring methodological rigour and relevance.
• Provide technical direction on evaluation methodologies.
• Ensure evaluations integrate sector-specific dimensions such as modal shift, accessibility, safety, equity, climate and environmental impacts, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Act as a thought leader, producing and disseminating insights, learning products, and guidance on evaluation approaches in the transport domain.
• Serve as senior advisor to clients including government departments and public sector bodies.
• Build and maintain trusted long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, providing evidence-based advice to inform strategic decisions in transport policy and programming.
• Represent Steer at conferences, industry panels, and thought-leadership events.
• Drive growth of the transport evaluation portfolio through successful leadership of bids and proposals.
