Assistant

• Provides specialized customer support, clerical and data entry work involving one or more docket areas within a court’s jurisdiction.
• Performs case-flow functions across the full case-cycle including docket entry, entering new electronic and paper filings, sending notice, reviewing case documents for accuracy/completeness, preparing orders & motions, scheduling events on court calendar.
• Responsible for operating various tools to support both in-person and remote virtual court hearings.
• Perform operator function during court hearings by providing high-speed docket entry and real-time processing in medium and high-volume settings such as the criminal docket.
• Employ attention to detail and methodical approach to ensure standardized business practices are followed.
• Respond to customer inquiries to assist with filling-out forms, using court kiosks, preparing for court appearances, and providing case information.

• Answer the child protection hotline and gather information from callers about alleged abuse or neglect

• This position will work in an office setting in the Capital Region at the Berlin office.
• Occasional travel to regional garages will be required to assist with computer replacement, repair, and other related duties.
• This position is responsible for providing clerical and technical assistance, including opening and distributing mail, processing payroll, processing project/program related invoice payments, answering phone inquiries from the public, assisting users in computer operations and device troubleshooting, assisting with installation of hardware and software, and providing help/training to users with the VAMIS program.
• This position also serves as back up support to administrative personnel and provides office coverage in their absence.
• Strong customer service skills are required, as well as the ability to learn, use, and train others with computer programs.
