Solution Architect

• As a Solution Architect (SA) you will be a key senior technical point of contact for current and prospective clients, using your understanding of the Engine technology and architecture to explain the Engine product, uncover client requirements and support the design of client solutions.
• You will be involved in both the sales and delivery phases of a project as well as ongoing client success, collaborating with teams across Engine in Technology, Delivery, Product, Client Success and Business Development.
• Supporting these activities on client sites means the role will require travel around Middle East, and occasional further travel.
• This role blends deep technical expertise with strong communication and collaboration skills. You'll become an Engine expert, understanding its architecture, technology, and functionality, allowing you to effectively communicate its capabilities and value to both technical and non-technical audiences at a senior level.
• You’ll lead on technical proposals during Engine Discovery phases with prospective clients, building relationships with a variety of senior stakeholders within clients and SI partners, from C-level to Heads of function.
• You will be involved in supporting advanced sales opportunities and Engine implementation programmes. You will lead deep-dive discoveries with prospective clients and shape the required programme of work with the help of our Product and Engineering teams. Your contributions will also extend to shaping Engine's product roadmap and supporting sales efforts through technical demos and client workshops. You’ll help clients maximise Engine’s current and future capabilities to solve their requirements and meticulously document scope and roadmap decisions to guide subsequent delivery waves, bringing in expertise from our Product Owners and engineering teams where required.
• As a programme moves into an implementation phase you'll act as a trusted advisor to clients guiding them on integration, best practices, and platform workflows. You’ll work with our SI partners and lead other Engine architects to triage and own client technical questions end-to-end, either answering directly or signposting to appropriate Engine Product Owners and Engineering Leads.

Senior Solution Architect – Engine

• You will also be a technical champion for our existing clients, ensuring their ongoing success. This includes taking ownership of the technical aspects of client deliveries, collaborating closely with our SI partners to overcome challenges and achieve seamless integrations. Product Specialist

• Build strong relationships at all levels of the client organisation, through pre-sales to implementation
• Understand client vision, challenges and priorities, applying your knowledge of the Engine product
• Work closely with our Product and solution architecture team to iterate the US product roadmap, advocating for the needs and expectations of our US based clients

Product Consultant – Engine

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Develop and implement a Financial risk management approach i.e. the framework and policies, by which all financial risk types, including capital, market, liquidity, funding and wholesale credit risks are adequately managed and controlled.
• Ensure robust risk management is integrated into Starling’s management of its capital, market, funding, liquidity and treasury positions.
• Develop and maintain, in collaboration with the CRO, an appropriate Risk Appetite for financial risks, including forward-looking measures, which can be presented to and approved by the Board, ensuring the needs of Starling are addressed.
• Identify, assess and monitor financial risks, including wholesale credit ensuring Starling’s financial risks are aligned with its Risk Appetite.
• Provide review, challenge and guidance as part of the ICAAP and ILAAP processes and ensure the embedding of these approaches into the Bank’s risk-based decision-making.
• Provide review, challenge and guidance for the Bank’s stress testing and recoverability framework.
• Provide oversight of the Bank’s liquidity and market risk exposures, including, but not limited to, its IRRBB exposures and the measures taken to manage this.

• - Function Architecture: Design and implement our first dedicated People Analytics function. You will lead the transition from manual "offline trackers" to a sophisticated, automated reporting ecosystem that serves as the backbone of the People Strategy.
• - Data Governance & Integrity: Act as the guardian of people data. You will establish robust validation checks to eliminate discrepancies (e.g., between Finance and People data) and ensure 100% Board-level reporting accuracy.
• - Strategic Insights & Storytelling: Translate complex, raw data into digestible visual narratives and "People Health" dashboards. Your work will enable the Executive team to make high-stakes, real-time decisions at pace.
• - Regulatory & Statutory Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery of critical statutory reporting, including Gender Pay Gap and Pillar 3 disclosures. You will ensure our controls are robust to satisfy internal risk frameworks and external regulators.

• - Lead the end-to-end management of the Group’s global insurance programme, including D&O, PI, Cyber, Crime, Property, Public Liability and other relevant lines.

• You’ll work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, document writers, and QA to drive the design and delivery of improvements to the product that align with the vision of the business, taking into account existing and potential clients.
