About the role

  • Prospecting and closing new Facility Solutions products business with large Commercial/Industrial accounts nationally
  • Execute business development sales strategies and position Staples Facility Solutions as the preferred solution
  • Consultative engagement with prospects through research and industry knowledge
  • Actively engage networking contacts, professional affiliations, industry groups, trade shows, and other lead sources
  • Build internal and external networks to identify new target clients and follow through on leads
  • Provide guidance on RFPs/RFIs, pricing strategy and legal agreements
  • Prepare customer-facing presentations and pricing proposals including profitability analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic acquisition and pricing to differentiate Staples from competitors

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 7+ years related experience working with large/national and complex sales opportunities
  • 5+ years successfully selling janitorial/sanitation or related products/programs in a business-to-business environment
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years related experience working with large, complex sales opportunities (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of supply chain, Jan/San, EVS industry, and infectious control (preferred)
  • Skilled in business analytics with the ability to make financial and fact-based decisions (preferred)
  • Skilled in entire Microsoft suite (preferred)
  • Ability to connect easily with customers at all levels
  • Collaborative approach with specialists and team members
  • Inclusive nature and commitment to self-improvement
  • Superior negotiation and presentation skills
  • High level of personal maturity and emotional intelligence
