Drive the future direction and development of Staples Media Network, a fast-growing retail media network of strategic importance to Staples
Lead a team of partnership leads who manage marketing and sales of media network product offerings to drive revenue and program adoption
Develop media strategy and plans for Staples’ key advertising partners for onsite and offsite campaigns
Work closely with Product & Operations, digital and media agencies, and strategic third-party vendors to scale media network growth
Set & execute against annualized EBITDA targets
Build and manage the Staples Media Network pipeline: nurture prospects, grow existing vendor partner relationships, and develop plans to exceed sales goals
Model best-in-class selling: go-to-market plans, full-funnel media plans, and always-on upselling
Collaborate with Sr. Director, SMN Operations to provide robust forecasting and measurement/reporting to vendors
Co-create communications for stakeholders to share insights, action items, and pipeline
Collaborate with Sr. Director, Retail Media Operations and Staples product organization to drive program capabilities and solve vendor problems to drive incremental revenue
Act as the ambassador for Staples Media Network internally and externally through thought leadership and public events
Present to Executive Leadership at monthly business reviews and ad hoc; develop partnerships with VP level and above across business units
Lead internal communications across the retail media network team
Stay up to date with industry and retail media trends relevant to the program
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business, marketing or related field OR equivalent work experience.
15+ years of digital media, advertising technology, and/or marketing experience, primarily focused in consumer environments
10+ years cross-functional leadership experience, including demonstrated success leading a large cross-functional marketing team with vendor/agency counterparts integrations
5+ years of onsite & offsite media product strategy experience, including examples of standing up net new products
Experience with monetization strategies, landscape evaluation, competitive positioning, and vendor funding economics
Excellent communicator and leader with ability to inspire vendor partners, merchants, and leadership
Deep expertise in media & advertising, AdTech ecosystem, digital marketing, and retail media landscape
Preferred: Strategic thinker with experience driving long-term growth while balancing short term objectives
Preferred: Experience standing up self-serve buying models in partnership DSP, SSP or specialized 3rd party commerce media platform
Preferred: Ecommerce background with proven track record of cross department collaboration and gaining internal consensus to scale an advertising business
Preferred: Background in building and scaling both digital and in-store commerce media programs
Preferred: Self-motivated, high-capacity person who can function and win in a demanding, performance driven environment that includes a broad set of stakeholders
