About the role

  • Prospect and research companies and schedule in-person presentations for top-level executives
  • Identify customer needs and develop a comprehensive customer acquisition strategy
  • Develop new print business with existing Staples Commercial & Enterprise customers
  • Partner with Key Account Managers and Print Key Account Executives to identify opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Set your own appointments with Marketing, Procurement, or Operational executives
  • Develop tailored programs with customized pricing using a consultative selling approach
  • Manage account sales and strategy and the account handoff process in a team selling environment
  • Achieve/exceed sales targets for a defined sales and GP quota and earn uncapped commissions
  • Travel 30% throughout assigned geography for customer meetings

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 4+ years previous sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Previous print/marketing program sales knowledge (preferred)
  • General knowledge of products, pricing, competition, and sales objectives (preferred)
  • Previous experience using salesforce.com or a comparable sales tool (preferred)
  • Established record of success achieving sales targets (preferred)
  • Ability to consult/sell to the highest-level decision makers in large companies
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer knowledge including extensive internet navigation and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
