About the role

  • Work independently to assist clients through planning and creation of fiscally responsible, award-winning designs
  • Lead development of integrated design proposals and prototype or unique sustainable concepts
  • Utilize BIM technologies to develop project models and maintain building information models
  • Prepare and revise documentation across architectural phases: site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details
  • Produce a variety of output/drawings throughout the project and participate in design critiques and pin-ups
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, prepare site observation reports, and perform contract administration tasks
  • Lead project coordination and meetings with internal team members, external consultants, owners, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Assist in preparation and coordination of project specifications with construction documents
  • Participate in constructability reviews and conduct quality assurance/quality control on projects
  • Mentor and lead others while collaborating with team members and Project Leader as required

Requirements

  • Registered Architect (RA/AIA/NCARB) Licensure is REQUIRED for consideration
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • 5 to 7 years of similar experience
  • Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly Autodesk Revit
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling and rendering tools such as Rhino and SketchUp (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for client presentations and team coordination
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex design and construction challenges
  • Ability to hand sketch and/or communicate concepts and ideas effectively (preferred)
  • Requisite knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes
  • Strong understanding of architectural document production and relationship between drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Ability to conduct space planning, block planning and adjacencies
  • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness
  • Strong presentation and interview skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP (preferred)
