About the role

Ensure accurate and timely billing for client projects, adhering to contractual terms and timelines
Coordinate with media team to review insertion orders, reconcile media orders monthly, and ensure timely billing
Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices to minimize aged balances and bad debt exposure
Work closely with clients to resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues and act as key point of contact for billing inquiries
Assist in review and financial structuring of client contracts and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Maintain detailed revenue forecasts, support ASC 606 revenue recognition, and manage project financial setup
Create and distribute monthly and quarterly reporting packages outlining billing, revenue, margins, and forecasts
Provide insights to improve client profitability and operational efficiency
Provide ad hoc financial analysis, pricing, staffing plans, invoice queries, audit responses, and client-specific contractual reporting

3+ years of experience in a client-facing financial role, preferably in an advertising or media agency
Proven experience managing media billing processes (digital, traditional, and programmatic)
Strong understanding of agency contracts, SOWs, and client billing models
Solid knowledge of finance/accounting principles (P&L, balance sheet, AR, revenue recognition)
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, working with large datasets)
Familiarity with finance software such as NetSuite, Workamajig, Workfront, Salesforce, or similar tools
Curiosity to ask probing questions based on intuition
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively across departments and communicate with clients
