About the role
- Renewables Technical Lead to oversee team of engineers and designers on renewable projects across the country for the US Energy Practice
- Remote work flexibility with option to be located at Energy offices across the United States
- Lead mentorship and improve project efficiencies by developing standards/templates
- Provide input on project resourcing and staff forecasting
- Lead engineering tasks as technical lead and engineer of record; perform calculations for design, construction deliverables
- Manage lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning; ensure quality, schedule, and budget
- Present at client meetings; travel occasionally
- Collaborate with Project Managers on design schedules and budgets
- Conduct QA/QC reviews; ensure safety and technical standards are maintained
Requirements
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university
- +6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Current professional engineering license (PE)
- Deep knowledge of utility practices, industry codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, PIP etc.)
- Ability to lead engineering tasks with strong communication skills
- Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
- Field construction and commissioning experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Excel (preferred)
- Experience with other software in the industry such as NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, Helioscope, Homer, ETAP, WindPRO
- Capable of system financial estimation (Capex, Opex), PPA ROI calculation
