About the role
- Lead strategic planning, acquisition, development, and management of ForMotion’s real estate portfolio and Embla Medical’s facilities across the United States.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, Construction, and cross-functional teams to drive growth, optimize space utilization, and ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee site selection, brokerage engagement, lease negotiation, LOI governance, and transaction execution through acquisition closings and lease commencement.
- Develop master plans for growth including renewals, new sites, relocations, renovations, and minor facilities projects; present deals to leadership.
- Establish and manage capital budgets and operating costs; facilitate budget approval and financial forecasting for sites and projects.
- Lead project and facilities teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, track milestones, and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Oversee lease administration platforms, monitor renewals and critical dates, and manage landlord notices, estoppels, and insurance documentation.
- Manage design, construction, vendor coordination, building and equipment standards, ADA and EH&S requirements, and furniture standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or international equivalent) in Architectural Design, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate, construction, or facilities management, with in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate lease practices.
- Retail healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with space utilization methodologies and office furniture systems.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with a wide range of constituencies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in lease administration platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
