About the role
- Ensure production lines operate effectively to maximize productivity and product quality
- Develop and execute preventive and routine maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment
- Manage and maintain spare-parts inventory and coordinate equipment purchases and upgrades with vendors
- Supervise, lead, and schedule mechanical staff; ensure appropriate after-hours support
- Coordinate vehicle service and oversee in-house minor mechanical repairs on trucks and trailers
- Manage and oversee maintenance of all company-owned buildings and facilities
- Recommend operational improvements, assist in product development, and collaborate with Quality Manager
- Partner with external safety consultants and serve as primary contact for OSHA compliance and safety initiatives
- Contribute to long-term strategy and monitor trends in the nonwoven industry
Requirements
- Strong background in mechanical engineering, maintenance, and facilities management
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance best practices
- Manufacturing experience in the non-woven industry (required)
- Hands-on experience handling nonwoven machinery
- Ability to manage preventive maintenance and spare-parts inventory
- Experience coordinating with vendors and external contractors
- Ability to oversee vehicle maintenance and facility upkeep
