About the role
- Develop, lead, and maintain robust governance frameworks for people and workforce data
- Set the strategic vision and roadmap for data governance to enable AI and BI applications, including measuring data quality and completeness
- Standardize key metrics and data definitions across all people domains
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, IT, and Data teams and with data governance leads in other areas to align policies and data usage
- Develop and enforce security protocols and ensure data governance by design
- Define roles and responsibilities for P0 HR datasets and identify data stewards across people data (first 4-6 months)
- Audit definitions and metrics across people, remove redundancies, and publish a certified metrics calculation list with standard queries (first 4-6 months)
- Align on a singular reporting hierarchy and provide clear instructions on usage (first 4-6 months)
- Set guardrails for implementing AI for HR both internally and for customers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related business discipline
- 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of data management technologies, including HRIS (e.g., Workday, Ashby)
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma)
- Proficiency in SQL
- Preferred: Master's degree in HR Analytics, Data Science, or Business Analytics
- Preferred: Familiarity and understanding of Snowflake RBAC/ security
- Preferred: Strong understanding of the HR landscape, including HR processes, systems (e.g., Workday, Asbhy), and key people metrics
- Preferred: Proven experience navigating complex data privacy laws and implementing controls to ensure compliance
- Preferred: Exceptional communication and influencing skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred: Strategic and problem-solving mindset; proven ability to lead through influence and collaborate across teams
- Must follow company confidentiality and data security standards for handling sensitive data
