Backend Engineer

• Focus on back-end architecture; designing, developing and maintaining SmithRx product features using various languages such as Golang, JavaScript/Typescript, Node, GraphQL, and SQL (amongst others), while leveraging full CI and CD to iterate quickly
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to understand functional and technical requirements to produce high-quality, scalable software and services
• Provide scope and risk estimates for system and feature builds by building technical design documentation
• Continually apply software development best practices, design patterns, testing, automation, tools and technologies.
• Leverage AWS technologies, like Lambda and Fargate, to handle various types of jobs and batch processing
• Troubleshoot production issues by performing triages for issues that arise, assessing the impact, creating and executing a plan for short-term and long-term mitigation, and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues.
• Coach/mentor junior team members in their assigned engineering projects by reviewing and providing feedback on code developed, and performing design and code reviews
• Work with senior leadership to turn technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter

Senior Software Engineer, Backend – Platform

Senior Software Engineer, Backend – Applications

Accounts Receivable

• Proactively manage the company's collection efforts in an ever changing, multi-party environment to ensure timely collection of invoices.
• Cultivate strong relationships with a high-volume portfolio of internal and external customers, serving as the primary point of contact for billing and receivable inquiries
• Manage and prioritize multiple customer, TPA, broker, consultant, captive and other related party demands, exercising business judgement to resolve billing discrepancies, questions and delinquent payers.
• Investigate and perform detailed analysis in order to identify the root cause of billing or payment issues, collaborating cross-functionally to implement meaningful solutions.
• Manage and create reporting to internal stakeholders of collection efforts and delinquent accounts, including Days Sales Outstanding, Average Days to Collect, and other strategic actions taken to collect delinquent accounts.
• Exercise good business judgement discretion in managing escalated or at-risk accounts, independently determining the appropriate course of action which may include negotiating payment plans, settlement or recommending the suspension/cancellation of services.
• Train and mentor accounts receivable staff.
• Document and maintain internal control procedures related to invoicing and collection efforts. Develop and maintain evidence supporting such controls are executing as designed.

Accounts Receivable Analyst

Analyst

• Work with clients, identifying and understanding benefit plan requirements. Build and maintain pharmacy benefit plans for client groups.
• Own all aspects of benefit configuration organization and structure for the accounts assigned by monitoring plan data integrity.
• Spearhead process improvement efforts.
• Provide support to team members for escalations and complex configuration requests.
• Create and maintain prior authorizations and step therapy rules.
• Grandfather/transition new clients and update formularies with changes at the direction of the clinical team.
• Communicate project status, escalating issues when appropriate. Drive changes to improve workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with member support and customer success teams to review and resolve inquiries related to benefits timely to improve member experience.
• Provide troubleshooting support for our claims adjudication process.
• Collaborate with engineers on system enhancements to drive automation.
• Interface with external vendors surfacing issues and tracking outstanding work requests.
• Support new client implementations, conduct go-live testing, perform post go-live auditing and support to ensure plans are configured to confirm accuracy.

Senior Benefits Configuration Analyst

Manager

• Lead initiative, in collaboration with the Account Management team to ensure that SmithRx performance analysis is completed and value is communicated to clients on an ongoing basis so that our customers are aware of our value.
• Build a "performance assessment playbook” to ensure SmithRx is ahead of all contract performance accountability processes with clients and partners, and clients are satisfied with our outcomes.
• Work with the Data Analytics team to deeply understand our performance for clients, and build reports to maximally automate the process of performance accountability.
• Actively participate in deal assessment for ongoing retention activity.
• Work closely with Sales and Proposals teams to craft offers to pharmacy consultants, brokers, and clients which properly reflect SmithRx’s value.
• Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure that our client agreements appropriately reflect our performance accountability strategy.
• Work with SmithRx senior leadership to innovate and evolve performance accountability models for SmithRx, and the PBM industry as a whole.
• Engage pharmacy consultants and brokers to educate the market about SmithRx’s performance accountability strategy and why it optimizes client outcomes.

Senior Customer Performance Manager

Revenue Operations

• Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements Gathering: Conduct deep-dive sessions with sales, finance, legal, account management, and other stakeholders to understand challenges, pain points, and business needs for RevOps processes.
• Requirements Documentation: Translate gathered business needs into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Analysts and Business Systems team members.
• Process Mapping: Work in close partnership with teams to map end-to-end current and future state RevOps processes.
• Change Management & Enablement: Develop and maintain enablement and training materials for all new or updated RevOps processes, tools, and system changes.
• Training & Rollout: Work with team on rollout strategy for process and system updates; own training and ensuring high user adoption
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Partner with team to design, execute, and manage UAT plans for major system changes before they go live.
