- Achieving assigned regional sales goals and growth through effective sales planning and execution
- Managing broker relationships to increase distribution of product lines
- Training and monitoring sales activities of Broker representatives
- Planning for regional sales and assisting with sales proposals
- Meeting directly with customers to maintain and increase sales of Smithfield products
- Implementing and executing Smithfield sales plans to promote product lines
- Customizing plans to meet local and regional marketing cultures
- Maintaining coordination with company functions to ensure sales objectives are met
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 5+ years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a leadership position
- Understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods industry dynamics
- Solid understanding of customer focused and fact-based selling
- Experience with IRI, Neilsen and Perishable Group data
- Knowledge of product cuttings and attributes
- Proficiency with Apple software, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- SAP experience is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Willing and able to travel at least 50%
