About the role
- Support SFC India’s freight decarbonization agenda with research & analysis and partnership support
- Structure data collection, collate evidence, draft briefings and slide-ready summaries
- Maintain partner/engagement trackers and live ecosystem maps to inform strategy and implementation
- Coordinate with shippers, LSPs, OEMs, financiers, industry bodies, NGOs and government stakeholders
- Work closely with SFC’s global technical team and India-based suppliers
- Track policy and market developments related to zero-emission freight in India and globally
- Assist in identifying, onboarding, and engaging potential partners and coordinate meeting preparation and follow-ups
- Apply SFC frameworks (GLEC, Zero-Emission Trucks pilots) by gathering inputs and translating partner insights
Requirements
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Sustainability or related field
- Strong desk-research skills: ability to scan reports, datasets, and credible media; evaluate source quality; cite correctly
- Analytical rigor & data literacy: clean and structure data, build simple analyses (Excel/Google Sheets: lookups, pivots)
- Policy & market scanning: track government notifications, industry news, and technology updates
- Stakeholder mapping: identify and categorize ecosystem actors; maintain an up-to-date tracker/live map
- Synthesis & writing: produce concise briefing notes, insight packs, and research summaries with clear narratives and visuals
- Tools: proficient in Google Workspace/MS Office; comfortable with spreadsheets and slides; experience with CRM/trackers
- Organisation & detail-orientation: disciplined documentation, version control, and follow-through
- Communication: strong English required; Hindi (and/or another Indian language) is a plus
- Availability: full-time for 6 months
