About the role

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing sales representatives
  • Design engaging training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, workshops, and simulations
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions focused on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices
  • Provide ongoing coaching and reinforcement through field visits, role-playing exercises, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure sales teams have a deep understanding of product features, benefits, and differentiators
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to update training content as new products are launched
  • Train sales representatives on competitive positioning and objection-handling strategies
  • Educate sales teams on regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical selling practices
  • Ensure compliance with industry guidelines (e.g., FDA, HIPAA, AdvaMed)
  • Assess training effectiveness through quizzes, assessments, and performance metrics
  • Gather feedback from sales teams and leadership to continuously improve training programs
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales training impact
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs
  • Work with marketing and clinical teams to ensure sales reps can effectively communicate product value to healthcare professionals
  • Support sales meetings, conferences, and product launches with targeted training initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years in medical device sales, sales training
  • Interventional Oncology preferred
  • Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training program development
  • 5+ years of proven track record successfully training and developing sales professionals
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to translate complex medical and technical information into easy-to-understand concepts
  • Proficiency in e-learning tools, CRM systems, and sales enablement platforms
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel as needed for training sessions and field coaching
