Assist customer request for assistance in bookings, quotes, pickups and general transportation related questions.
Ensure Inland Pickups are followed through, and Inland Transportation agreements are met.
Reach out to overseas offices and agents for hazardous and other required approvals.
Trouble shooting between customers and Shipco/Agent offices.
Ensure that shipments processed are in compliance with the laws and regulations governing for US Export Industry.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in LCL ocean export customer service and/or operations is required, preferably from a NVOCC background, but a candidate with VOCC or freight forwarder experience will also be considered.
Knowledgeable in all aspects of export customer service and/or operations.
Strong data entry skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Attention to details and an aptitude for a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment.
Resourceful and out of the box thinking.
Relies on pre-established guidelines.
Reports to the Export LCL Export Customer Service Manager.
