About the role
- Deliver outstanding customer support via Intercom, our primary customer service tool.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.
- Ensure customers feel heard, supported, and valued throughout their interaction with Sandboxx.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, operations) to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and feedback in Intercom.
- Identify common customer pain points and share insights to help improve processes, tools, and product features.
- Uphold Sandboxx’s commitment to providing compassionate, mission-driven support.
- Hours will be from 12:00 to 8:00 pm EST, Monday through Thursday, and one weekend day.
- This is a 1099 contractor position. Hourly rate based on experience.
Requirements
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a remote, digital-first environment.
- Proficiency with Intercom or similar customer support platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, Help Scout).
- Strong written communication skills - clear, concise, and empathetic.
- Ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities at once.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as a contractor.
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Preferred: Experience supporting mobile apps, subscription services, or e-commerce customers.
- Preferred: Familiarity with military culture or prior experience supporting military families.
- Preferred: Available to cover 8 hours on the weekend
