About the role
- The Samsara Corporate Development team focuses on M&A, corporate strategy, and venture investments; this role drives inorganic growth and works with senior leadership.
- Responsibilities include: evaluating and executing strategic M&A, investing in early-stage ventures, designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analyses, and presenting findings to corporate leadership.
- The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, comfortable with undefined processes and building zero to one, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable thinking in front of senior leadership.
- This is a highly visible role in the organization involving close partnership with senior business leaders across Samsara.
- This remote position is open to candidates residing in the US (excluding specified states).
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a mix of corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, and private equity
- Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable with undefined processes and building zero to one
- Demonstrated analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation, and other quantitative analyses
- Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating effectively across all levels and teams across the organization
- Demonstrated understanding of technology with an acumen to engage with product and engineering leaders on tech roadmaps
- Proficiency in evaluating, negotiating, and executing deals and comfortable jumping into the scouting and integration processes
