Security Engineer

• Personnel Security Management: Manage and administer personnel security clearances and background investigations in Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and related systems of record.
• Industrial Security Program Oversight: Establish programming accordance with DSCA procedures. Maintain compliance with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, government contract clauses, and customer-specific security directives.
• DCSA & Government Liaison: Serve as the primary interface with DCSA for inspections, communications, and corrective action plans.
• Training & Awareness: Deliver security indoctrinations, annual refresher training, derivative classification briefings, and insider threat awareness sessions.
• Visit Authorizations & Access Management: Process visit authorization requests (VARs), incoming/outgoing clearances, and access prerequisites for classified meetings and contracts.
• Program & Documentation Management: Maintain Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs), security manuals, incident logs, and required documentation.

Facilities Security Officer

• Patrol exterior grounds of the facility.
• Observe and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to promote physical security and safety; watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.
• Contribute to communication and awareness of security policies and issues as needed; warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; control/direct traffic.
• Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions, which might endanger client, its associates, or public safety.
• Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete; maintain all daily assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition.
• Investigate security related accidents/incidents, interview witnesses, complaints, and victims; responsible for gathering physical evidence and preserving it for future use; complete report and follow up with management as needed.
• Investigate and report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, or other facility related events, provide back up to client personnel.
• Responsibilities include crowd control and assisting Fire Department/EMS or other officials during these processes; maintain control at traffic accidents, assist victims, and investigate.
• Responsible for ensuring that all employees on company property have proper company issued identification.

• Drive continuous improvement efforts on the programs and processes managed by the data center operations department.
• Complete a rigorous 8-month Critical Facility Engineering certification program.
