About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and operate all mission-critical systems, including UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety, BMS, and CMMS platforms
- Interpret and apply site-specific system one-lines, equipment nomenclature, and layout drawings
- Execute and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Sequence of Operations (SOOs)
- Monitor and respond to BMS alarms, extract trend data
- Conduct routine inspections and rounds to identify anomalies and ensure compliance
- Supervise construction activities and vendor installations to ensure alignment with site protocols and safety standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility operations
- Proficiency in either electrical or mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy models (N+1, 2N, ATS/STS)
- Familiarity with energy efficiency principles in data center environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, or AutoCAD is preferred
- Experience with CMMS, DCIM, and power metering systems
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and climbing ladders up to 16 feet
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for work-related travel
