About the role
- Execute the product strategy for Slack's mobile experience with obsessive focus on quality, performance, and user engagement
- Drive core projects focused on the heart of the Slack experience and evolve mobile offering to meet customer needs
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Analytics to represent the mobile vision and facilitate discussions
- Ensure quality implementation, participate in prioritization and planning, and manage stakeholder alignment
- Keep applications current with mobile OS changes, new devices, and capabilities
- Establish and analyze key success metrics and user behavior to inform product decisions and demonstrate impact on quality, findability, and usefulness
- Share contributions openly to solicit feedback from peers, executives, and cross-functional partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Proven track record of shipping successful, high-impact mobile products for Android and iOS
- Craft Champion: passion for building products with best-in-class craft and high bar for user experience
- Deep knowledge of the mobile landscape, including best practices and platform design guidelines for iOS and Android
- Customer-centric analysis: ability to synthesize quantitative data (usage metrics, A/B tests) and qualitative insights (user research, interviews)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
- Nice to have: experience owning software products spanning multiple devices and platforms
- Nice to have: experience prototyping with code or designing your own mobile experiences
- Nice to have: understanding of dependencies between client-side and backend technologies and mobile connectivity constraints
