About the role

  • Lead one or more workstreams in complex enterprise customer engagements as a Solution Architect
  • Serve as hands-on advisor and trusted partner to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze requirements, design comprehensive Salesforce solutions, and obtain customer acceptance
  • Drive discovery sessions, define business requirements, and create user stories and system/functional designs
  • Identify gaps between current and desired end-states and recommend corrective actions
  • Communicate and present to technical and business stakeholders, including C-suite
  • Steward Professional Services Methodology and contribute to community best practices and thought leadership
  • Engage with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure solutions meet value objectives
  • Manage customer expectations, negotiate solutions with customers and third-party partners, and mitigate risks
  • Review and correct project/program direction to keep programs on track and ensure solutions are extendable and maintainable
  • Drive program vision and advise on program/project strategies that enable Salesforce technologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise-level projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Extensive experience with configuration and customization on the Salesforce platform
  • Expert level experience defining system architecture landscapes and delivering comprehensive solutions
  • Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed system and functional designs
  • Experience documenting business processes and wire-framing system designs using process flow diagrams, UML, sequence diagrams
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders up to C-suite
  • Detail-oriented and quick learner of new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with customer qualification of large-scale/enterprise implementations with multiple work streams
  • Good listening skills and ability to communicate with diverse roles
  • Resourceful and innovative problem solver
  • Possible travel of about 25%
  • Preferred: Proven results delivering high value business outcomes using agile approaches
  • Preferred: Proven results leading customer and/or partner success stories
  • Preferred: Relevant Salesforce certifications and consulting experience are strongly recommended
