About the role
- Performs any clerical billing responsibility assigned to ensure that patient accounts are processed accurately
- Acts as a liaison between Patient Account Services, physician offices, patients, and third-party carriers
- Monitors, researches, and updates patient accounts
- Answers patient and client calls and responds to correspondence
- Acts as liaison with insurance carriers and clinical areas
- Reviews insurance reimbursement for compliance and appeal underpayments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 - 2 years relevant experience
