About the role
- Analyze requests, audit changes and monitor outstanding engineering work items
- Process change-requests in the PLM system, including analyzing product documentation for consistency of information, assessing interchangeability, and routing for approval
- Coordinate change requests with product engineering (Design/Drafting) and other functional groups
- Monitor change releases to ensure timely incorporation into production
- Maintain drawing change log and provide programmatic justification for priority escalation
- Participate in meetings requiring configuration management input, create and update documents, and verify accuracy of product structures in PLM
- Provide PLM support to product teams on process and tool
- Generate x-class, proper marking, and submittal of technical engineering correspondences and/or program specific data items
- Support program plan reviews, periodic status review meetings, and applicable metrics
- Complete and maintain various data item logs
- Support internal and external audits and resulting corrective actions
- Create and maintain Engineering SharePoint site including sub-discipline pages
- Coordinate with various Engineering functions for content and edits
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment (relocation is not offered)
- Engineering project management experience (preferred)
- Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (preferred)
- General knowledge of engineering principles; ability to read and understand technical processes
- Experience with inventory control and process improvement
