About the role
- Lead a team of Applications Engineers who serve as trusted technical experts and consultants to NI customers
- Collaborate with Systems R&D to bring new Application Systems and IP to market
- Partner with Business Managers to set strategy and allocate Application Engineering resources
- Work with Account Managers to advance and win sales opportunities
- Assess and prioritize incoming requests for Application Engineering resources and assign tasks/projects to team members
- Recruit and foster development of Application Engineers via training, career development, annual goals, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with Business Managers and AE team to define and deliver sales enablement content
- Ensure good collaboration with other departments within Emerson and with third parties
Requirements
- STEM-related bachelor's degree
- 2-3 years of team leadership experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
- Experience in handling resources, budgets, and schedules
- U.S. Citizenship (no sponsorship provided; individuals with temporary visas not eligible)
- Preferred: B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Preferred: Knowledge of NI hardware and software products
- Preferred: Demonstrated success and experience in project management
- Preferred: Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration
