About the role
- Lead a team of Applications Engineers who serve as trusted technical experts and consultants to NI customers
- Direct team activities to maximize NI and customer success
- Train and develop skills of team members
- Ensure collaboration with other departments within Emerson and with third parties
- Collaborate with Systems R&D to bring new Application Systems and IP to market
- Partner with Business Managers to set strategy and allocate Application Engineering resources
- Work with Account Managers to advance and win sales opportunities
- Assess and prioritize incoming requests for Application Engineering resources, assign tasks and projects to team members
- Recruit and foster the development of Application Engineers by identifying training and career development opportunities, setting and monitoring annual goals, and conducting performance evaluations
- Collaborate with Business Managers and AE team to define and deliver sales enablement content
Requirements
- STEM-related bachelor's degree
- 2-3 years of team leadership experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
- Experience in handling resources, budgets, and schedules
- U.S. Citizenship
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field (preferred)
- Knowledge of NI hardware and software products (preferred)
- Demonstrated success and experience in project management (preferred)
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration (preferred)
