Design, develop, and integrate Collins products within the Test Equipment Environment in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, circuit designs, and analyses.
Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and assist in managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to develop proven hardware designs that meet system performance and operational specifications.
Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities: requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, circuit design analysis (Performance, Stability, ESD/Lightning, Decoupling and Signal/Power Integrity), creation of board stackup and routing instructions, coordination and review of printed wiring board layout, creation of test plans, root cause analysis, and integration.
Design, document, verify, support, test, and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products using electrical engineering principles and techniques.
Initially focus on Test Equipment Design and transition to Electrical Design Engineering.
Work hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following manager-assigned schedule.
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience.
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Experience in designing and developing test equipment for communication systems. (Preferred)
Knowledge of electrical schematics, circuit design, and hardware integration. (Preferred)
Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronic hardware. (Preferred)
