About the role
- Lead and support electrical design activities across new product development, sustainment, production support, and field investigations.
- Develop and evaluate design concepts, select components, create circuit schematics, perform analyses, and participate in design reviews.
- Support printed wiring board (PWB) layout and routing efforts.
- Plan and execute design verification testing, including test procedures, readiness reviews, lab execution, data analysis, and reporting.
- Contribute to environmental qualification efforts (e.g., EMI, temperature, altitude, humidity).
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide input to program planning activities including schedules and budgets.
- Tackle complex design challenges, contribute technical expertise across the full product lifecycle, and help shape Power & Controls products.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Prior experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis, including complex logic devices.
- Experience in designing embedded electronic controls for aerospace applications.
- Prior experience with electronic circuit testing methodologies, and hardware / software integration.
- System hardware / software integration test experience using LABVIEW or Test Stand.
- Ability to work in a cross-discipline work environment interacting with design engineers, project leads, lab personnel, program managers and customers.
